Though egg and roe flies have long been the usual on
many west coast and Great Lakes streams and rivers,
they are definitely not the beginning and the end of
winter steelhead patterns. We have found that  it often
helps to have a fly that holding fish have not seen dozens
of times before. With favourite rivers being much busier
than in previous years, and often with smaller runs, being
different form the pack is often the way to go!
